Plimmerton Boating Club
During the year we provide sailing courses for children 9-15 years old.
This is a Level 1 Yachting NZ course, run over 3 days 9am -3pm. We provide a safe and fun environment for sailor and parents, spray jacket, lifejackets, boats.
Fee Structure
$275 per sailor for the course.
A fee will apply to continue sailing in the LTS group after the course for 16 weeks (approx $175, fees not set as yet)

We will be on the water as much as we can be - (weather dependant) – we will not be putting your child on the water if it is not suitable to do so.
It is our aim to have your child able to sail a boat confidently themselves at the completion of the course. Most importantly we want them to enjoy themselves and have an experience they will remember for life.
Once the initial learn to sail course is complete and you know your child wants to continue on with sailing they will be offered a place in the Rainbow Group which sails on Wednesday evenings. Your child will share the use of a club boat until graduation into Green Fleet (separate fee applies).
There is a pathway in sailing depending on the individual sailor, some like the club activities, on the water games and the general social side of sailing. Some become more competitive and want to go onto race in regional regattas and national competitions. We cater for all, we just want to see the children enjoy their sailing and will help with any pathway they wish to take.
Aimed at Adults wanting to experience sailing, run over 3 sessions of approx. 3 hours. We provide a one on one Learn to Sail experience in our safe and stable Phase 2 class yachts.
