Plimmerton Boating Club
I am a keen sailor and club volunteer, and agreed to take on the role of Commodore to help ensure the longevity and sustainability of our club. My strategic aims for the club are that it is financially sustainable, that it has a robust health and safety framework, that it meets the needs of its existing members, and encouragse new members to join.
I am also a classic car racing enthusiast and own a Lotus Seven replica for club racing
I want to support the Club in securing its future for the community.
A fun fact about me: I have sailed the English Channel in a 22’ catamaran and crossed the Minch in a Force 8 on a similar sized yacht.
I wanted to be on Committee because I love the Club and its potential future. My favourite thing about Plimmerton is the ocean.
Something most people don't know about me: I like fishing as well!
My reason to be on Committee is for whānaungatanga.

I wanted to be on Committee to represent the power-boat side of the club.
Fun fact: I ride motorcycles with a group of friends called the Hard Bastards Knitting Club

Something most people don't know about me: I’ve explored many of the world’s oceans, including three voyages to Antarctica.
I wanted to be on Committee because growing up, the Boat Club was a major part of my childhood. I'm now in a position to give back to my community
Something most people don't know about me is: I was the Parish Leader of the Wellington Catholic Cathedral for seven years.

My favourite thing about Plimmerton is that it’s a great little village right next to the sea!

Fun fact: I once cycled across Japan on my own (pre smartphones) using only a map. I also can't fillet a fish and don't like to eat them
