From a wedding planning perspective booking the Plimmerton Boating Club was the best decision I made. The entire planning experience was an absolute pleasure made so easy by the laid-back, accommodating and customer-centric focus of the Venue Manager, Richard De Groot. Nothing ever seemed too big or too hard for Richard and he constantly impressed me with his prompt and professional communication. Any idea or request I had Richard brought to fruition. He comes across as quite unassuming but don’t let that fool you as Richard directed our event with project management precision juggling all the balls on our behalf to execute the most perfect day.
There’s not one thing we would change, not one thing that was overlooked or missed on the day, everything was PERFECT! If you’re searching for a venue for your next event don’t hesitate to contact the Plimmerton Boating Club. The location and views are certainly a drawcard but the service and culinary delights will you’re your guests talking about your event for months, perhaps years, to come.

As the first Bride of the 2014/2015 wedding season I’m honored to write a glowing reference and recommendation for the Plimmerton Boating Club and staff for the absolutely stellar job they did in hosting our wedding in October. We had the pleasure of 85 guests joining our celebration at the Boating Club which included our marriage ceremony followed by cocktails and nibbles, speeches, a large buffet meal, full bar service and DJ inspired music and dancing. For us, the best measure of a successful event is guest feedback and we have been absolutely delighted by the positive comments we’ve received from our friends and family. At the top of the feedback list was how amazing the food was (Well done Chef!). The food selection was ample and generous servings were available ensuring there was plenty to go around; not only that, but it also meant that the buffet always looked full and inviting. It was very obvious to all that significant time was taken to prepare and present food that was appealing to the eye even after half the guests had ravaged the buffet. We even had parents telling us their fussy-eating children had seconds. Service follows very closely to food and for the Boating Club their approach to customer service really enhanced our guest experience. During the event the staff were attentive, approachable, helpful and happy in their work. Guests commented on how friendly and chatty the staff were and also how quickly and quietly they went about their jobs. Coming from significant hospitality and customer service backgrounds my husband and I have very high service standards and we were so thrilled with the service displayed during our event – Thank you!
