Power Boat Annual Fishing Competition Rules 2005 2006 Season

The annual fishing competition runs from May 1st 2005 to April 30th 2006. All fish caught during this period are eligible to win any of the categories listed below. Open to club members only and their immediate family if a family membership is held.

Additional to this there is also a winter section, which runs from May 1st 2006 to August 30th 2006.

1 As a club member all you have to do is enter your fish on one of the official entry forms, which are available from the Club House or on the web site, and drop the filled out form into the suggestion box out side the Club House front door.

2 The weight of the fish must be checked by another financial club member other than your self, and they must also sign the form.

3 The form must be filled out, and signed by yourself and your witness the same day the fish has been caught and weighed.

4 The form must then be placed in the suggestion box within seven days of being filled out.

5 All fish entered must have been caught from boats based in the Plimmerton / Mana area, or of the rocks, and jetties immediately surrounding the club property. Only fish caught in the area covered by marine chart 46 can be entered into any Plimmerton Boating Club fishing competition. Boats fishing chart 46 must leave, and return to the Plimmerton / Mana area in the same day. (No over night sounds trips)

(Local fishing waters only.)

6. From the information on the form we will make sure all fish entered are placed in the correct    categories.

7. You do not have to kill the fish to weigh them in if you scales with you at the time. If you have another club member on board, plus scales, they can weigh the fish so you can release it alive. This person must be the same person who signs the entry form for you.

8. Do not bring unwanted fish back to shore; you then only have to dispose of them.
